They do have those hooks with the bulbous handle (like shown in your picture) and I have heard that they really do help because you are not holding your hand so tight and small. It may take a bit to get used to, but I think less pain is worth it. Let me know if it works for you!Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14596892702798575269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5993021553872163077.post-50563544185549143062009-12-07T22:04:07.618-08:002009-12-07T22:04:07.618-08:00Sweet! i don't care if it looks silly, I'm...Sweet! i don't care if it looks silly, I'm tryin' it!Angelica Bays, TygrLilies.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12070678368794217860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5993021553872163077.post-44696301335160432642009-12-07T19:12:05.139-08:002009-12-07T19:12:05.139-08:00Ouch, sorry to hear you have it!
I've had it, ...Ouch, sorry to hear you have it!
I've had it, or maybe tendonitis (I should remember this!!!) for years. I type all day, every day, all night (like right now!).
I went to physical therapy for it a couple times even. It never gets better, but it gets tolerable.
I use a heating pad about 3-5 times a week - turn it on high, wrap up my hands in it, one on one side, one on the other and just hold it tight against me. It helps!
I use to use ice packs -during the summer anyway-and my phys therapist told me the ice wasn't really doing anything except numbing the pain.
Oh-an easy thing I found that works---stand up and put your arms straight out from your sides (not in the front). And then swing them all the way from front to back. It gets the blood moving quickly to your fingertips and it just feels good. It looks silly - I used to do it in the fairly empty hallway at work until I was caught two different times and I worried what people would think. :)Lifeofkaylenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03470854343779969623noreply@blogger.com
